Not Much News Today: Almost a Link Sandwich but not Quite
In an effort to find something that we could directly translate into stock ideas, the best we could come up with for today is this article from BusinessWeek a little over a month ago. It’s actually a really good article dealing with how the election will impact technology companies. As candidates can change their views at any time, we double-checked the information from the article and it still is valid for today; but if you do see anything wrong please comment or post it in the forum.
As we said that article is pretty good, so there isn’t much to elaborate on, but there were a few times when specific stocks were mentioned so here you are.
Nanotechnology
Alternative Energy (i.e. solar/wind power)
Biofuel (Ethanol)
That should do it, but if something’s missing, or you would just like some more stock ideas, leave a comment here or post on the forum either in the General Forum or the Stocks Forum.
Other than that, here are a few other things:
From YahooNews: Richardson touts his experience while saying that he would have talks with leaders from Iran, Syria, and Iraq. Hum…didn’t that inexperienced Obama guy suggest something like that recently. Oh well.
Finally, while looking for the aforementioned news, we stumbled across a new blog that some of our readers might find interesting. It’s EyeOn08.com, run by a political consultant named Soren Dayton, and has quite a bit of good political commentary.
