The Left Attacks McCain’s War Record

Although Obama’s camp left the decision open as to whether or not they wanted to swiftboat in this campaign season, those on the far left have made up their minds.
They have criticized McCain’s service in the air force by claiming that pilots don’t have to take responsibilty for or think about the people that […]

Obama and Clinton Virtually Tied In The Polls Again

The Swamp, the Chicago Trib’s Washington Blog, shows a nice graph of the Gallup Daily polling results for the Dems.

It’s Obama 47%, Hillary 46%. Clinton did gain some ground during the Rev. Wright hoo-hah, but Obama seems to have recovered from it.
McCain holds a slight edge over both Democratic candidates (not shown.)

Deconstructing The Polls

The latest Washington Post/ABC News Poll has Hillary up 52% to Obama’s 20%. Edwards only 13%. This is a big improvement over early Sept. Post survey, which had Hillary at 41%, Obama at 27%, Edwards at 14%.
But there’s more, Chris Cillizza of The Fix, wasingtonpost.com’s Politics Blog, looks deeper.
Hillary has the women, 56%, […]

Battle of the Frontrunners

First a little disclaimer. The picture may seem anti-Clinton, but we just thought that it was too funny not to put up. It’s all in good fun.
Moving on, the battle between Clinton and Giuliani isn’t so lighthearted. Many people seem to think that these two have already won the primaries of their respective parties, and […]

A Look at the Donors

Wish we had thought of this idea ourselves, but that honor goes to Infoloop, one our forum members. The idea being that…oh never mind, here’s his quote.
Now this is in no way a suggestion of impropriety just self-interest. But if you consider which companies are making contributions to a candidate or candidates you can get […]

Straw Poll Results

Although the Iowa straw poll has lost some of its importance due Giuliani, McCain, and Fred Thompson not participating, it has allowed some of the second tier candidates to gain some visibility. I’ve made some graphs of the results using the information at the L.A. Times here.

Giuliani, McCain and Fred Thompson weren’t participating in the […]

ABC “Abuses” Ron Paul Campaign

There was a post in Paul Levinson’s Infinite Regress blog about how ABC withheld the results of a poll they conducted on who won the Republican debate. Apparently the results were incredibly skewed towards Ron Paul. In addition to this, ABC had previously taken Ron Paul off an online poll and deleted all comments […]

Barron’s Feature on Candidates and Issues

Today’s Barron’s has a cover story on the Presidential candidates. Barron’s took several issues and asked for written policy statements. They then graded the candidates on whether they were seeking free market or government solutions.
While we have some doubts about this methodology, as well as the assumption that the free market solution is […]

Money For Nothing

Barack Obama has recently announced that he has raised 32.5 million dollars for the primary alone. With that much money he appears to be leading everyone from both parties. Compared to Hillary Clinton, who has 21 million for the primary, this is rather impressive. Most other candidates haven’t broken into 8 digits. Not only […]

Poll Leaders on Border Security

Because the site is just getting started, we figured we’d take a look at some of the poll leaders’ stances. If this turns out well, we may do a weekly post on the poll leaders, but let’s see what happens.
On the Democratic side, we have Hillary Clinton leading Barack Obama by around 10% and […]
