Slow and Steady…
House Democrats finally got their hands on Obama’s healthcare draft yesterday. The Hill notes that the more moderate Democrats were not all that happy with the plans for the overhaul so far, which leads us to believe it could be a serious problem garnering sufficient Republican votes to pass the legislation. Oh, and the Dems still need to figure out how to pay for it — kind of important.
Nonetheless, the fact that the draft has been introduced indicates serious progress towards actually seeing something significant. Some representatives – like Mike Doyle – are even alarmed by the progress of healthcare legislation.
We feel a need to stress that we are approaching the time to get involved in the healthcare sector if you intend to trade off the Obama stocks. Our own healthcare portfolio has achieved modest growth since May 21, when it was created.
