A Gracious McCain Concession Speech
Showing some fine qualities of leadership, Senator John McCain made a fine concession speech.
There are some trying times ahead, which he acknowledges. The strength of our system of government is that people come together in times of challenge.
Sen. McCain’s speech invoked the very best sentiments from all of us.
“Tomorrow we must move beyond it (disappointment) and work together to get our country moving again.”
Fine words from someone whom we should all respect.

That was a nice speech (despite some weak crowd reaction to Obama’s name) and I do respect Senator McCain for his service to the country, both military and political. I’ve also liked the way he has been able to deviate from the straight party line (sometimes).
Had he taken that type of tone in his campaign and chosen someone other than SP as his VP ( someone with a good economic reputation) it would have been very close.
