The Merits of Obama’s Move to the Middle
I, personally, have noticed a lot of tension lately in the online community. It seems people are anxious or somewhat disillusioned with how Obama has been running his campaign since the primaries ended. We at Election Stocks have been anticipating as well as covering this for some time now (albeit we mostly deal with his economic plan, supporting our hunch that he is very much a free trade guy).
This article that appeared today on Real Clear Politics has a very solid justification for his campaign decisions so far. It brings up a couple points that we have not, which include but are not limited to:
- The General Election is more of a debate of conservative vs. liberal agendas, not so much attention to particular policies.
- Swing voters are not absolutely moderate on every single issue
- Obama has never been about sticking to party doctrine or remain strictly partisan
We suggest you read the article itself, as it brings up even more points and it very well written.
