Preliminary look at Sam Nunn on Economics

I’ve never heard of this Sam Nunn guy prior to the article I read on him considering running for president. I figure it would be a good idea to research his economic policies and make a preliminary decision. Of course it’s up to you to discuss him in the forum and make the electionstocks final decision collectively.
Nunn has no comments on corporations, budget, or the economy.
However, he supported a bill to replace farm price supports (subsidies for farmers, 1996). Also, he voted for a bill to require ethanol in gasoline (1994). From these actions and the fact that he was a farmer before he was a politician, it’s safe to say he definitely supports the agriculture industry.
Sam Nunn also appears to support free international trade. He voted to end the embargo against Vietnam (1994). Also, he supported a bill to encourage Japan, using sanctions, to open up to a free market. These stances are very much pro-market, but also contradict his subsidies for farmers vote a little bit. That isn’t so bad, however, because it shows he is a moderate.
So we can tell that he is pro free trade, but also supports subsidies and sanctions in certain situations. I’ll give another update on this guy once he makes a few more economic statements and maybe even decides to run.
