Gingrich Criticizes Inefficiencies in Healthcare
Splendid news for healthcare technology stocks if Newt Gingrich finds his way into the Oval Office in the 2008 election. In this article by cio.com, he suggests the increased use of technology by doctors and medical insurance companies. Apparently, an “expert electronic system” would eliminate the many, sometimes fatal, flaws made by handwritten prescriptions.

Obama Leaving Coal in the Dirt
Senator Barack Obama left the Coal to Liquid (CTL) method out of the Low-Carbon Fuel Initiative when he presented it to the Senate on Thursday. This is strange considering Illinois is up to its elbows in coal, Rentech and Peabody are planning to build a CTL plant there now.
